I've got the Minolta DiMage 7Hi, I can use it on it's limits, but it's not a professional camera. The 20D is a nice upgrade :) |

using the eye to capture a moment with natural lighting is 100 times better than using an expensive camera with all the settings:thumbsup |

I like Slastyonoff's pictures a lot (for example domai.com, I was a member of that site but besides his pictures it was a bit of a disappointment...) |

KRL, you still haven't purchased your dSLR? :) First the 300D, then the D70, now you've got your sights on the 20D... :Graucho
I started with a 300D but I'm taking a big leap up to a 1Ds soon (11MP full frame) abyss_al: the 300D and 10D do not have identical hardware. For example, the 10D has a larger frame buffer. The software hack enables some dormant code shared with the 10D. Installing the hack does not make your 300D a 10D - the latter still has better build quality, better mirror damping, extra physical controls etc... |

It's not available anywhere I have looked yet. As soon as it is I am trading up my 10D.
The buzz around the 20D is amazing. It has a higher resolution and lower noise. |

Higher res + lower noise in the same size sensor package (1.6X) is definitely an impressive feat. To increase the resolution you have to pack more (smaller) sensor sites into the same area; smaller sites are generally noisier. |
