http://www.verisign.com/products-ser...ge_005513.html
Today marks the change, Verisign is now updating root DNS server records every 5 minutes expediting in domain resolution especially for new additions. Time to go buy some more domains :) |
but dont ISPs have to update the DNS and that takes like 24-36hours

i think this will make the process go a little quicker, but it still won't be in 5 minutes

no, not on new domains, dns server changes will still take some time only becuase of the refresh rates some people have set on their DNS servers. most majors isps to save resources set a cache time of 4-12 hours or more. at that time they will look for your new info, but if there are no records i.e. new domain. it will resolve pretty fast |
old news already :winkwink:
|
Has anyone actually seen this happen yet? I'm trying to get an answer out of some of the registrars as to whether or not it is working yet.
