how you look at a man romantically?

GirlNinja 09-09-2004 10:10 PM

CDSmith 09-09-2004 10:12 PM

Nah - they don't need to know that I ring your bells with participles, tense and a thesaurus when you're feeling kinky

cheeky 09-09-2004 10:16 PM

Well yes it does - I like to know my man knows grammar and how to spell because it means he knows how to write and say those words I love to read :)

That's it - I'm taking away your synonym finder and you're going to have to stroke my dictionary before you can have it back!

Brat 09-09-2004 10:19 PM

I tihnk it matters quiet a bit. I need a man who can spel.

Zerof8 09-09-2004 10:19 PM

well I guess if I am ever going to impress a woman on gfy I better stop typing like I would on icq:(

I need to anyway because it really fucks me up when I have to type something REAL.

detoxed 09-09-2004 10:21 PM

Umm I dont sit and write letters to girls that I'm dating, this isnt the 1700's

Then again my spelling is above average compared to most morons. I saw on drudgereport that 50% of Los Angeles county is illiterate.

CDSmith 09-09-2004 10:25 PM

I've been weaving my magic using the King's English, with proper grammar, spelling and syntax.... and I can honestly say only a select few women have taken it upon their rather sumptuous selves to let me know they've noticed.

It's definitely not what I would say is the highest item on most women's checklists of things to lust over about men. This thread could prove interesting though.

Jamdin 09-09-2004 10:29 PM

Writing a love letter is just as simulating now as it was in days gone by. Try it sometime and surprise your girlfriend or wife. She may even give you a nice surprise in return.

BrainDead 09-10-2004 01:02 AM

i read poetry a lot does that count girls?

Joesho 09-10-2004 06:53 AM

This explains why you don't have a girlfriend.

Most men are too fucking stupid to figure this out. They still think a woman cares most about a guy's penis size. :1orglaugh

Lord Helpus 09-10-2004 07:30 AM

Definitely matters to me! I had a huge crush on a guy I worked with once, and we had to ICQ/email back and forth all the time. He was one of those that confused "your" and "you're", and at some point I realized we just didn't have a romantic future. For the record, my live-in boyfriend is a writer.

sherie 09-10-2004 07:31 AM

Not on the top of my list, however, I do care.

That would include 90% of the people on GFY.

Spelling and grammar are pretty important to me in the whole context of romantic or even just casual letters and chats. I can however, look over typos considering most internet users are multitasking and it?s quite easy to make a mistake when your in a rush to get your to do list finished. But in person, if you?re writing me a love letter ? you really need to take your time and at least use Microsoft Word to check your spelling. You don?t have to be Shakespeare but use a little common sense.

hydro 09-10-2004 08:04 AM

talk like snoop dog. you'll get more pussy than you'll know what to do with

Not if you're a white guy. Then you'll only end up looking like a gangsta wannabe retard.

use a spellchecker to correct a loveletter to your GF? where's the romance in that :)

GiantGnome 09-10-2004 08:37 AM

When I "Internet Dated" back in the days of www.love.com (AOL) I wouldn't reply to the emails that were full of spelling errors. A few mistakes ,fine.... I make typos all of the time, but when the spelling is on a 2nd grade level, their emails went straight to the deleted items folder.
