I am in Lakeland area which is 50 miles from coast, will get some strong feeder bands, as long as it stays off shore, I feel better about it. Had the eye of Francis pass over so Cat 1 status winds I am cool with, it is the 110+ shit that scares me. Thanks for the info.

jewcash 09-09-2004 09:54 PM

greentea 09-09-2004 09:57 PM

Im in west palm beach, and if you need a place to get cheap plywood let me know, there's a secret little store in delray beach....

Heading to Fort Lauderdale this weekend to stock up on ice, gas, and charcoal.

West Palm Beach is Finally getting back to normal now, another hurricane here will be a friggin nightmare.

jewcash 09-09-2004 10:23 PM

where in delray

init 09-09-2004 10:35 PM

fuck buying wood when there's shitloads of houses being built around you :thumbsup

jonesy 09-09-2004 11:58 PM

IF

it comes up our way

My bet is the west coast again, about the same path as charley which sucks but there is a possibility it could come straight up through the keys towards homstead and go north, north east. then all of us in s florida will get hammered but depends on the fronts coming from the west and how strong they are.

NOAA said it will be better able to determine where its going sunday/monday

We bought plywood last night at the Home Depot in Tampa on Hillsborough and Memorial. They were well stocked and well organized. They counted people in line and how much wood they had and cut the line at their estimated run out point. They are supposed to continue to get shipments in most of the day today.

I have a flight to Dallas tomorrow morning.

So much hurricane action lately, I'm tempted to get some crazy girls to run around naked in the wind and rain... HurricaneBabes.com or something like that :Graucho

One of my friends here in west palm was driving around picking up full sheets of plywood that people were throwing away. What a bunch of dumbass people.

Here's my tip for anyone buying wood. Buy the pressure treated kind. It might be a little more expensive, but it lasts 3Xs as long as regular plywood.

Tampa peeps. If you need plywood this place is supposed to be styocked up.

From the models I've recieved, this hurricane looks as though it will travel up the west coast of Florida before gradually turning northeast to travel through the panhabdle and northern Florida to cross Georgia, eastern Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

Monday morning will have the Florida keys seeing this, with landfall around the Sarasota, St.Petersburg, Tampa area by Tuesday morning.

Currently, the hurricane is a category 4 with sustained winds of 145 mph.

Blue_Spade 09-10-2004 09:29 AM

For those of you in Orlando and surronding areas.

Down at the Lowes in Hunters Creek they got a shipment of plywood in this morning around 9:00 when I was there. They are limiting 10 sheets per head and lines are about 2-3 hours right now.
