Actually, I was thinking Tennessee somewhere...it seemed to me to be the safest bet without traveling for days on end. I have kids, too, so any more than 12-14 hours isn't going to happen, lmao.

I'm tired of this. Three major hurricanes within a month's time. I've been looking at flying out of here this morning on the travel sites.:helpme

I thought about taking a roadtrip up the east coast of the US and visiting my family in MA .. but I can't stand the idea of leaving my house to be looted .. :feels-hot

I'm pretty done with living here, too. I've been here 25 years and I've never seen anything like this-not one time, much less three times within a month!
Funds are the only reason I'm still here now...it takes some serious dough that I don't have to pack up me, my husband, two sons, 9 & 10, and two daughters, 1 & 3 (well, she'll be 3 on the 11th). My brother has a beach house in Ocean City, NJ....I'm pretty sure he'd let us stay there for the weekend and into next week, but it'd cost a fortune to fly and it'd take a week to drive with all these kids, lol.

I hear ya, but it would be better that you were safe....you can always buy more things....people can't be replaced.

Can't afford a flight like that....and four kids in a car for that long is almost as bad as a hurricane, lol.
