How can you bash someone that apparently did what he could to avoid going to a war you (and countless others) were against?

Unless your opinion on the Vietnam war has changed to something positive...

Kerry did not receive a deferment because he was never drafted, he was not even eligible to be drafted when he graduated from Yale. He volunteered, so get your facts straight.

alot of people fought and died in vietnam who didn't believe in the war and i'm sure alot of soldiers in iraq don't believe in the cause there either. but they have a sense of duty, honor, and responsiblity for america.

I, for one, love hearing Republicans admit that Bush "did what he could to avoid" serving his country at a time of war.

There's nothing wrong with chickening out of serving (if it's legal), but there definitely is if you have been bashing everyone over the head with the big patriotism stick for the last three years. Bush is a hypocritical coward.

I'm not a Republican.

It says a lot about character and leadership as far as him not taking the duty seriously.

But I think the big thing is the drug abuse part that is lurking under the surface.

as I have said 100 times here, once the truth all comes to light about how and what this administration has done, bush will be the worst president in history....

thing is, if your Jeb , now you will never be president, and it is all your brothers fault.

lets see, one party has to go back 30 years to find something wrong with their opponent and the other party has to go back 30 years to find something right with their opponent.

Kerry was a prosecutor for 3 years as well in MA...and basically built his political career from scratch...interesting to hear oliphant (boston globe) on scarborough country (conservative show on msnbc)...

Bush was a prodigal son in the truest sense...and an anti-elitiest (although he had no problems with legacy benefits that make up his career basically).

Your statement that Rove makes Bush look good is silly and only an uneducated child would make such a claim with no basis of fact.

Bush is president. normal people like the job he's done. cocooning yourself with internet friends gives you a false sense of what is normal.
