Since they're bringing up Bush's National Guard service again.....
How can you bash someone that apparently did what he could to avoid going to a war you (and countless others) were against?
Unless your opinion on the Vietnam war has changed to something positive... In which case you'd better stop calling the Iraq war "another Vietnam"... |
kerry didnt get his deferment so he had to go
he's my hero |

alot of people fought and died in vietnam who didn't believe in the war and i'm sure alot of soldiers in iraq don't believe in the cause there either. but they have a sense of duty, honor, and responsiblity for america. |
Hmm... a republican doing what he can to avoid going to a war for his country....
doesn't sound very patriotic to me. |
i call it the dirty side of politics :1orglaugh
a bit of history for Bush http://www.adultoutsourcing.com/gfy/...lot_button.jpg |

There's nothing wrong with chickening out of serving (if it's legal), but there definitely is if you have been bashing everyone over the head with the big patriotism stick for the last three years. Bush is a hypocritical coward. |

It says a lot about character and leadership as far as him not taking the duty seriously.
But I think the big thing is the drug abuse part that is lurking under the surface. Quote:

as I have said 100 times here, once the truth all comes to light about how and what this administration has done, bush will be the worst president in history....
thing is, if your Jeb , now you will never be president, and it is all your brothers fault. |
lets see, one party has to go back 30 years to find something wrong with their opponent and the other party has to go back 30 years to find something right with their opponent.
Thats it in a nutshell kids.:1orglaugh |

blah blah...
Kerry was a prosecutor for 3 years as well in MA...and basically built his political career from scratch...interesting to hear oliphant (boston globe) on scarborough country (conservative show on msnbc)... Bush was a prodigal son in the truest sense...and an anti-elitiest (although he had no problems with legacy benefits that make up his career basically). (andover to yale to national guard to hbs to bankrolled arbusto oil ventures to texas rangers to gov to white house) Interesting to see Kerry tarred as elitiest and bush not. It comes down to politics of perception and Rove is a genius at that. Rove makes Bush look good there is no question about that. Quote:

you kids crack me up. Bush looks good because he's done well as president. there is a large, uneducated, pool on the internet of kids that don't understand anything beyond what they see in a michael moore movie. you're all busy jerking each other off about Bush being evil but the people who will actually vote, aren't kids on the net.:winkwink: |

where's the beef? your statement has no substance.

Reagan dug us out of a hole, so did Bush. its simple unless your guy spent 20yrs in the senate doing nothing. Then you have to nuance everything. :1orglaugh |

Your statement that Rove makes Bush look good is silly and only an uneducated child would make such a claim with no basis of fact. Bush is president. normal people like the job he's done. cocooning yourself with internet friends gives you a false sense of what is normal. makeing the statement "It comes down to politics of perception and Rove is a genius at that. Rove makes Bush look good there is no question about that. " is what lacks substance. |
