Epassporte to Canada
Any fellow canadian webmasters who were able to successfully set up their bank ABA number with epassporte? They require a 9 digit code but I only got 8 and whatever I tried like adding a zero in front or using a dash doesn't work at all. I'm with the national bank of canada.
I emailed them but haven't got a response yet. If anyone has any idea how to make this work please let me know, there's some money in there I'd like to wire myself as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. |

never heard of it .. |
What city are you in ??
Why not ask your friend what bank he has and just get an account with them.. |
As far I can remember, you can only withdraw funds to American banks. Best best, order a card and withdraw from a ATM.

Could someone outside the US confirm that they can or cannot get wires from epassporte? |

usually when transfering $ from the states canadian banks use an intermediary bank.. ie td canada trust uses bank of america for the swift # then to your branch...

You need a US bank account in the US! Or apply for the Virtual Visa (not the tech name) but you cannot withdraw funds from it. You can spend the money online or transfer it to other accounts. Don't quote me, but from what I understand this is the way it is. It's difficult for them to implement it right now with the Banks in Canada.

I really think you can't do that with Canadian account, they still deserve only the US . Try the SEARCH, they made a thread about that already !

If its a bunch of money heres what i suggest as an easy solution. Find someone on the board from montreal. ( theres lots of em ) Trasfer the funds to his/her account and have him withdraw it from an atm and give it to you ( for a small fee of course ) |
Here's the scoop-
ACH transfer only works with US banks at the moment. We will be adding other countries on a case by case basis, but every country has different banking rules and regulations and it's not as simple as creating an ATM card that you can use worldwide, since they all use the same platform. If you've got a bank in Canada that routes through a US bank, like Smokey mentioned, then you can use that. Otherwise, I'd suggest ordering the Electron card so you withdraw through any ATM worldwide. If neither of these work for you, drop me an email and I'll be glad to see what I can do to help you out. kimmy @ epassporte.com |
