??? Tori has a great voice.. a breathy soothing quality even.. on probably 90% of her stuff.. sure she's got a few more up tempo things and a few weird things int he upper register but it's more a consequence of her song writing than her voice.. We're not talking Joanna Newsome here..

afraid I agree with him. She is one of those people that I feel like I SHOULD like because so many of the people that share musical taste with me like her but with the exception of Cornflake Girl all her songs fill me with the urge to rush the stage, lift the piano lid, shove her redheaded skull under it and slam it down repetitivly.

cornflake girl is one of her lamer songs. I liked a lot of others on that album though. I don't see how songs like "pretty good year" and "icicle" could elicit any other reaction except maybe boredom or apathy... theres just nothing annoying enough about most of her stuff. I'd expect people to find her bland, not annoying. Just weird.. I find her fans annoying but thats about it.. oh and her last few shitty albums.

Well I am sure being in the right age to have been seriously annoyed by her first group of female fans didn't help. I suppose I don't like pretention much and her stuff has that feel to me. It is like Enya. So many people I respect like her but I am looking for razor blades whenever one of her songs starts.

She had some decent songs. Never got as big as Jewel... which may not necessarily be a bad thing
