Will 2257 regs be retroactive to include all past content? Is that legal?

IE: porn movies made in 1985 without passports, etc.

Discuss.

Go read the proposed regs. They specifically address this issue.

Ok, I read the info at 2257.com.

My next question is: if the new regulations go into effect, will all performers in the content shot from 1990 to present be required to have a passport as valid id? And if so, how is that possible/legal of the government to expect of us when that isn't what was required at the time it was shot. How can you make a law 'now' and punish people who did what was once the legal way to do it? It makes no sense to me if that's the case.

Any insight would be appreciated.
