Starbucks raised their prices!!!
 

I just got back from taking my son to school and stopped by a Starbucks to get a boost of energy . All I ordered was a grande' Caramel Macchiato and the total was $4.55. Is it me, or did Starbucks raise their prices again???

If they raised their prices nation wide, that really sucks. Almost $5 for a coffee is insane! I could live with $3.50 or less than 4, but now that it's higher is just seems insane.

Yep raised them across the board and their stock seems to still be doing well.

They built a good brand and consumers will come back for more.

Yup, it was in the paper about a week ago. Prices are increasing as much as 5%. Their stock went up by $1.15 on that news, so the stockholders like the idea of a price increase.

No Kidding... Luckily I only drink there every so often. I brew my morning coffee at the house, and only get the foo-foo Starbucks for the occasional treat. :)

I agree, their coffee sucks ass. Whenever I've ordered a "Large darkroat to go" I get a stare like :eek7

There are few local coffee chains around here that are much better. Starbucks is a last resort for me.

I won't pay more than 4 bucks for a coffee. If it has been raised higher than that, I won't be buying any more Starbucks.

Yeah, they raised my Venti Hazelnut Iced Latte up a couple of cents ... kinda annoying. It's now $4.03.

I had Starbucks for the first time a few weeks ago and I was thinking, "Damn, the prices here are INSANE!" But the iced coffee I had was so good, I thought, okay, I guess I can pay this occasionally. But I now that they raised prices, I guess that first time I had Starbucks will be the last time!

I buy a pound of the good stuff for $10 and it lasts for the week. I was developing a 4 cup a day Starbucks habit. It was getting crazy.

Isn't that crazy? I always hear webmasters bitching that you can't charge more than $20 a month for an amateur site even with live cam shows every week. Hell, it's less than a coffee at Starbucks for live interactive porn every week! LOL

Gas prices have risen a great deal, so shipping prices have went up and stayed up. In return they pass this on to the customers in order to keep the profit margin good for the stock holders.
Will the customers really care? Seriously doubtfull. At first they may bitch a little bit, and the haters will have another reason to hate them. Fact of the matter is shortly nobody will care and the customers will be back to buying as ussual. These consumers are branded and set in their ways, they are not going to spend the extra time making their own.

The price of lettuce has also skyrocketed. Well more than 5% I might add. Is anyone who was using lettuce going to stop due to the price increase, or is this more of a "lets hate profitable companies" ordeal.

Starbucks for the most part changed the coffee industy and buying habbits of America. Before it was regular or decafe and that is about it. They siezed the market and convienced people to pay 3.00+ for something most were used to paying .50 for. They should be saluted by us capitalists.
