well, I am not a poker player, but isn't poker the only game where the bank can not win?

how do they make their money? do they take a percentage of the bids?

they take a rake, usually around 5% of the total money played......

Party poker always has thier $200+$15 quarter million dollar prize pool once a week and they get 1,200 players to buy in.. so that tourney alone they make $18,000
