do you sometimes mix things up?
such as advertising methods, new tricks and new copy even though the methods you use are already proving to be amazing?
I find myself doing this quite often with our best sponsor and it ends up kicking even more ass each time! My question is, when does it become a point where you say to yourself "It can't get any better than this so I'll leave it at that and use these methods and text copy from now on." I don't think I could EVER do that. I'm always trying to better my game and squeeze every last sale out of the traffic we generate. |
Bump. I take it people don't work around here anymore.

to tell you the truth i have learned to stay very in touch with the market and see when it is time to squeeze and time to let it go ... if you go for it to tight then you will eventually fuck yourself in the end .. but if your game plan is to be here for a while make a few million and get out then more power to you ... i treat my traffic sources (as many as they are) with varying degrees of tension some i make do shit and others i let go .. been here for 6-7 years now and have not been doing too bad ... i think it is personal choice as well as your traffic sources that you have to look at as to how much you are willing to beat them up ...

I always try new methods and new ideas. If you never test new ideas and markets you'll never know if you could actually make more.
Speaking of which click my sig and try us! |

I'm talking more along the lines of methods of making them want to click and what text I use to do this as well as what's the most important highlights from the site to mention. I see people being way too agressive at times in advertising and it makes me cringe. I am agressive to an extent myself but never too much. Peopel click my links and groove on my copy. I just often wonder if there is a point where one would stop thriving to get even better at it or just settle with the conversions and CTR. |

i think that staying with things that you are comfortable with is what is going to work ... if someone is boasting things that are outlandish but work are you going to be ok with that?? prolly not ... so work your traffic the best way possible and always listen to people when they might possibly offer something that you have not thought about is all that i have learned over the years... i have big ass ears ... LOL |
I'm not one to over boast. All my advertising is truthful and right on the ball. It's trying to fit tons of information into the advertising space I got to work with is why I reword some stuff and change the focus occasionally.. Surfers also get tired of the same text and advertising from site to site. We got sites out all over the place and there's a substantial amount of traffic moving through them and lots of repeat visitors on different sites throughout the network as well. Change is needed and a welcomed thing. I'm quite comfortable with changing my copy and advertising. It's what keeps bringing up CTR and conversions.
I personally think my methods are on the ball, but I'm a 'tinker' type of person who always strives for more so I'll always be rounding that ball just a bit more each time striving for a perfection in advertising which is a heck of a lot more than I can say for most people in the biz for as little time as myself. |
i am with you ... i spend hours looking for the right pics to promote a site with .. totally ..
but something that was told to me by someone that i respect in this biz very much was this .. "Remember you cannot get a wheel to be any more round than it already is" just some wisdom i have learned here and there... i say if it works then do not stray too far from where you are ... |
