More Than 1,000 Military Deaths in Iraq
 

As a foreigner, albeit a neighbour, I ask what is the greater casuality: the 1,000 dead soldiers, or the US Constitution?

It seems I hold Jefferson in much greater esteem than Americans do.

And I think it was best said by one of the greatest American's in history:

Of course there was more children killed than US troops. Add to the the many more who are now fucked up and maimed.

There is clearly some "imbalance" in talking about some US troops and the many thousands of people killed in Iraq.

It's almost like saying a guy killed in a road accident should be "news" - while 10,000 - 15,000 have had bombs dumped on them and that is "not news".

Clearly someone needs to be strung up by the neck and riddled with bullets.
