Visa makes a change on return policy
Basically, if a customer claims a chargeback and says "I never saw their return policy" you can fight it IF you follow the new regulations.
(I got this off a merchant fraud protection website). "In the May, 2004 Visa Operating Regulation, Visa has ammended it's refund disclosure policy regarding electronic commerce merchants to read: An Electronic Commerce Merchant Web Site must communicate its refund policy to the Cardholder during the order process and require the Cardholder to select a "click to accept" or other affirmative button to acknowledge the policy. (I paraphrase the rest): o policy must be on same screen as check out screen with total amount or o on one of web pages Cardholder accesses during checkout process" |
