Saw a documentary on porn yesterday...

The message never hit home with me that this industry is frowned upon so much. It was attack after attack every couple minutes. Regarding this industry as being run by "low-lifes" with no morals, etc.
Apparantly, no one likes porn - it is just dealt with.
And one person downloading a porn video or looking at an image online, affects the community as a whole. It's ridiculous.

On top of that, they tried to make Asshahahahaha look like a hero-like he was "preserving" this country's well-being.

What ever happened to freedom of speech?

Yeah.
They did mention that this industry has been responsible for most of the technology that created what the internet is now.
Still, low-blows and generalizations were popping up like wild fire.

It's amazing.......well no, it's not amazing that documentaries such as this one, actually air. I bet that if an industry leader made a documentary showcasing our views and thoughts, it would never air.

Yeah, this sucks but is there anything we can do about it?

If you're talking about the one that aired Sunday night on 60 minutes, I thought it was pretty neutral.

That is the one I am talking about, I forgot the name of the show it was on.

How would you consider that neutral?
Did you not see the generalizations flying all over the place, because of one man's actions?
There was little, if any defense, no less argument about what they were saying. It was merely bashing.

Well yes, Black & Extreme looked fairly bad, but then what do you expect? What they filmed was pretty bad. Although I totally agree with his stance that community standards no longer apply, and the show DID cover that.

The show also gave plenty of time to that Vivid guy, plus Luke Ford - :1orglaugh - so I find it hard to see how it was unbalanced.

Compared to a lot of coverage this industry has gotten in the past, the show was neutral.

That is so true.
The average person does not realize how much so.

Both good and bad.

that's been on 60 min.'s before they had about the same thing 1,2 or 3 years ago.

Only then it was AT&T not Comcast, one of the larger.
