CentOS 31. is it good?

I plan to go with centos 3.1 on a new server (no cpanel)

Do you recommend it? Or should I rather use Fedora? 1 or 2?

slackware would have been an option too I guess but now it's too late. I just ordered centos

It has the 2.4 kernel and older mysql and php but I guess I stick with the proven old stuff this time

You could always comple to the latest stable version. :)
