make up what ever we want. Why dont you take a few minutes to go back in history and watch what happens when any president of the US in in a public place, and any thing happens that is considered a threat to National security.

I had a friend that was one of the marines on heilo 1 when Regan was in office.

He said after 9-11 that this guy knew in advance what was going to happen, and that he was secure. And that is the only reason that he stayed put after he was told of the event. It is standard protocol for the president to be taken as fast as they can to Airforce 1 and put into the air where he can be more easily protected. That damn thingflys with more of an escort than a carrier. He knew what was going on, and he was safe and knew it.
