Hummmm, i always wondered why some sponsors are working this way ?

One thing is sure, they don't use it to shave sign ups. ;-)

Why do some sponsors have a delay in the stats?
I dont see any reason other then shaving.

I would imagine server load would have a lot to do with it. Im not a big fan of waiting every 30 minutes or more for the servers to "sync" or whatever they like to call it. But other then using a sponsor with real time stats what can you do.

I can explain why some, including us, have a short delay on traffic stats:

Because some of you guys refresh your stats constantly!

That would frequently cause the server to bog down, and new traffic coming in was adversely affected. Webmasters refreshing stats = more load on the server = slower response time for potential buyers = less sales

So the solution is to use seperate servers just for webmaster stats, and other servers dedicated to accepting incoming traffic. Faster response times = more sales

Which would you rather have, more sales or instant stats?

Put the page refresh in a queue with a 30 minute delay :winkwink:

Back in the time, Xpics was every 24 hours ;)

But always funny to see 1 or 2k added in the $ stats ;)
