Lampoon Vacation - Vegas to the Grand Canyon
 

my friend is flying out to come see me in las vegas on the 19th of this month. i was wondering if anyone drove from vegas to the gc before.

from the map, it looks like i should take the north route through utah and down into arizon. final destination is north rim. i'll be in a non-turbo car. i think the rx7 would literally melt and die at the elevation(1.5miles) and 100 degrees

any tips on the best places to see, etc... would be appreciated. this is going to be an all day trip unless we get lost and end up in texas http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif

well whatever you do, don't go strolling down the banks of the colorado river, sight a bubbly patch that doesn't look too bad and decide to take a swim. trust me on this.
