Freelance designer or outsurcing companies?

What do you prefer?

a) freelancer designers
- people with online portfolios, what you see is what you get
- constant contact, experience in various different fields other than design (webmastering, marketing etc)
- very good english speaking skills
- people with history in this biz
- option to talk directly with the designer, no middle men / translators

or

b) outsourcing companies
- mixed portfolios
- contact through the boss / middleman / translator
- no webmaster/marketing experience what so ever, poor design skills
- cheap prices
- annoying fake kindness

so?

Freelance designer, hands down.

Whenever I post a help request, I get ICQ SPAMMED by outsourcing companies.

Ummm... I donīt see all options available on your poll. :)

Iīd personally go with a company that:

- Has an amazing portfolio with consistent quality standards;
- Has much bigger otput capacity than a single person;
- Has good copywriting skills;
- Has History in the Biz;
- Works hard to provide their clients with unique design and branding solutions that deliver HIGH ROI, with a professional and friendly customer service.

:thumbsup

hhhmmm A :thumbsup i just don't like the idea of outsourcing companies making a slave out of those designers because i've been in one :1orglaugh

I like to work though each design with my clients. If they want something changed, I'll make the changes and upload it for them to view while they wait. And we talk about the design with each other.

I don't like all this out sourcing rubbish, I'd never hire one :2 cents:
