Man, since when did kids grow so fast?

It only seems like yesterday my smallest munchkin was a newborn, and today she was sitting in a chair playing with spaghetti and eating baby food. My two oldest are both going to school next week, and man how time flies.

I know all you parental types out there will totally know where I'm at. I think it only REALLY just hit me in the last few days. Anyways, though I'd share.

just wait, it only increases in speed as time passes

reynold 09-05-2004 06:36 PM

...and they'll begin to give you headaches and more bills for the broken potteries! :Graucho

Steen2 09-05-2004 06:36 PM

:( :( :(

Dagwolf 09-05-2004 06:38 PM

Yeah, they seem to grow up so fast... :( I miss having babies. I love babies.

One of my nephews who basically grew up with me starting high school this year. That really makes me realize how fast time flies.

:) Tomorrow they will be 20 something and in a world of their own and you'll be then wondering if you could have been a "better parent" at some times :winkwink:

Life rolls on...

seems like you never notice how much they grow and change until you step back and think. Looking at pics from even just 6 months ago, I can see big differences in my boy

Oi don't tell me that.. I'm already worried enough about how I'll feel when I truly have the house to myself when all three are going to school...

Kids grow up... pretty fast, and over time, go their own way. Some may choose a way perhaps you never wanted them to go, and can make you wonder at times :-)

Think on hindsight, we have been damned lucky/fortunate - but see some other parents/children (hell.. na they are no longer "children"!) .. that have good reason to be "concerned" about their "kids". Tho doubt thru any "fault" of their own.

It's a "parent" thing - You never stop being concerned :-)

I can honestly say that I have zero concerns about whether or not I could have done a better job of raising either of my children, and I sleep easy at night knowing neither of them is going to do something stupid

Sad that they're not the only ones ageing :(

pure energy 09-05-2004 07:15 PM

One day you just see them crawling, and the next day they are asking money!

Holly 09-05-2004 07:17 PM

Holy crap, school is just now starting up there? They went back August 9th, here. When do you guys let out for summer?

My mom said when she was young, school started after Labor Day. They're getting ready to move everything to year round school, here.

I can remember like it was yesterday walking up and down the hallway in the middle of the night trying to burp the little bundle in my arms

Now he's a strapping great combat engineer who could pick me up in one hand :)
