2257 and US hosting issues.. sm. to medium players only..
so we all know what is in the pipe, and who is gona be smoking on it (our buddy a-s-c-roft)
I am sure that most of all the major players have their battle plan lined up, and the solutions for their hosting worked out. However , what about the little guy, the up and comer, or the middle clas guy that jsut wants to work hard and progress ahead, he has not time or wherwithal to expand his business, and deal with this non sence too right? I am interested to know what/ or if any of you in this situation have thought of any kind of plan or not? I may have a solution for you, but need to hear your thoughts and needs . Apathy, or procrastination is not a defense!!! :) |
I'll just use non-nude thumbs and link to hosted galleries.

All my sites or pages are non nude and very tame.

It's not only about hosting it's about company location too. :2 cents:

I havent bought any content in a long time since word of this came out. Content pages are on hold for me. I'm sure there will be some content providers that do something smart like put up some mild non explicit content that avoids 2257 regs altogether.
Anyway, I'm making money right now off of all text ads. If need be,I'll just expand along those lines. There is no way I'm going to use some pay system to keep records for me. And theres no way I'm going to have the ability (right now) to keep the proposed cross referenced and updated records as proposed. It's a small business crushing set of requirements. So chances are if they get passed as proposed, I'll pull all pages that have content that falls under 2257 right down permanently as said above. Lets go content providers, shoot content that doesnt fall under 2257, certify it as such with your lawyers, and offer it with a nice license. Dont you see this as a new market yet? Get on it... and be sure to post a nice pinned thread when it's ready.. :winkwink: |
FBI rocks up to your site, the first thing they see is, DOT COM or DOT NET
Your company is out side the USA, Your host is outside the USA. But your domains are owned by the USA Regards No easy solution |
