I'm not old, but I like Zepplin. . .

CCR, Hendrix, etc.. However I know nothing about this music because I'm a youngin', so how about throwin' out some suggestions of stuff for me to check out.

:helpme

I wanna go home and be able to chill with my dad and his record collection. :thumbsup

freeadultcontent 09-03-2004 04:55 PM

zappa, floyd, sabbath, the who, joplin, doors.

CCR should not be mentioned in the same breath as Zeppelin or Hendrix

Black Dog, The Crunge, Kashmir, No Quarter, Dancing Days, The Lemon Song, Gallows Pole, Misty Mountain Hop

That should get you and him groovin' real nice

If you need Hendrix suggestions, just say the word

CCR . . . don't bother

oh, you want bands, not songs? . . . Hmmm, FAC's suggestions were okay . . . . not sure how he could forget the Stones, or Cream, the Animals, the Beatles, the tons of surf groups, Grand Funk, Emerson Lake and Palmer, ELO, Jefferson Airplane, Greatful Dead, Jethro Tull, CSNY, . . .to name a few

Phone rang, so my comma string got a period.

AVM 09-03-2004 05:25 PM

I'm in the same situation. I love classic rock, although my arrival is/was a bit late. I personally rank The beatles first and foremost. Amazing, always felt they were overrated, but now truly realize why they've such a following. Also:

The Who, Doors, Lynnard Skynnard, Queen, Eric Clapton/ Cream, Yes (some shit), Bob Dylan, Kansas, Neil Young.

My favorites have already been said by others though, but:
1. The Beatles
2. Led Zeppelin
3. The Doors
4. Jimi Hendrix
5. The Who

GirlNinja 09-03-2004 05:37 PM

ah i forgot about the doors. . . good stuff there

Bex 09-03-2004 07:23 PM

Pour a stiff drink, spark one, and put some floyd, CCR, zepelin, hendrix, and doors on random. You will be in for a good night of groovin' :glugglug
