Jesus frickin christ <rant>
Okay I have noticed one major difference in Adult from mainstream.
Statistics. While in adult we have clicks, sales and conversions one thing we do NOT employ enough of is our own Cost per Click conversion. What I am talking about is: Sponsor A pays $35 per signup. You convert 1:500 and send 500 clicks. Thus you made $35 per 500 clicks or, $0.035 per click. Sponsor B pays $20 per signup. You convert 1:250 and send 500 clicks, you just made $40, or $0.04 per click. Now let me ask you a question. If you convert like this on a regular basis, you are earning MORE money per every click you send. So why would you simply promote a sponsor just because they pay more per sale? Sometimes adult has it completely backwards. Basing who you should and should not send traffic to solely based on who is paying more per signup is NOT the way to go. Just a reminder: We are converting 1:70 today. COUGH </rant> |
Sponsor A pays $35 per signup. You convert 1:500
Sponsor B pays $20 per signup. You convert 1:250 I wonder why the ratios are better for sponsor B :winkwink: |
So when do I get to meet the infamous Matt?
|
No, that isn't an adult thing. Thats an idiot thing. If idiots want to continue pushing only the highest paying sponsors, so be it. Less competition for those with brains.

Things are really much simpler than you stated... conversion ratios are irrevelant, so are amounts per sale, so are click-through ratios...
What matters is your bottom line -> The sponsor that sends you the biggest check for the same number of banner impressions is the best :thumbsup |
In other words, who has acceptable ROI for YOUR traffic methods?
You must join yourself, you must send YOUR traffic, and you must analyze YOUR ROI! Sure someone may get 1:40 ratios, but they may also be paying $1.00 per click and $400 a month hosting to get it. Someone may get 1:1000 ratio's, but they may pay zero for hosting, zero for content, zero for traffic. Now which is the better ratio? Other peoples ratio info is useless :) |
I made a whopping $13 per signup with bangbus a few years ago.
*cough*Made a grand killing on the rebills though. *cough* |

Also absolutely, I will go with who offers me more. I mean bottom line is, if you're living with your parents, and scraping by to buy food and clothing, chances are you're probably better off trying something new. I will see you in Vegas, Darren so you can say all of this to my face and we can have a man-to-man chat. No board drama, no bullshit just sit down accross from each other at a table and you can speak your mind. |

I don't sling shit at you, and I would expect the same courtesy back. However the bottom line is affiliates see how two professionals act in a situation, and it is up to them to make a deciscion on who they would rather send their traffic to. Thankfully I don't need to trash talk the competition to get business. |

It's not that cut and dried for me, but I agree per click earning are important, but then you have to factor in your base cost for that click (especially if it's PPC traffic) and so on.
I've always had an aversion to PPS programs anyway. Much rather get in on a good revshare. |

I have software that gives that info... I agree, it's a good stat to be aware of.
