yes and alot faster. May be very unwise to do. often the shell or coating is there to time release it into your system.

By the way having crushed up pills before, I must warn you often they are the most foul tasting things one could imagine.

xanax xr is the extended release, normal xanax will work just the same crushed and in a drink. BUT mixing xanax and alcohol can be very dangerous! You could go from a date rape to murder 1 in no time!

The shell around the pill is there for a reason. If you destroy it you are removing any time-release that the pill may have.
Therefore, the recommended dosages, warnings on the bottle, etc are all invalid.
This is very dangerous, and I have seen people killed doing this.

Killed by Xanax? Unless you drink an industrial amount of liquor, Xanax can't kill you. If you down 100 pills, it'll knock you out for a week, but that's about it.

I personally dont like xanax...It has the opposite effect on me and makes me paranoid and dillusional..:(
