More $X,XXX,XXX+ Domains Sold??? from PR
don't know how accurate/legit this is. :)

Most will pay for themselves in a very short time, often the first few weeks the site is live. http://SuperNames.com is the ideal website to find the right quality domain names and it contains probably the best list of domain names for sale available today. About Super Names Inc. Our mission is to become the world's most sought-after domain name sellers giving the buyers the value for their money. Never was buying domain names as easy as now. Paul Wilson Super Names Inc. /// maybe dig a little deeper and find out if it's true. would be great news if it is accurate. |

10Top.com $ 2,000,000 (will be used for a portal)
AmericanPeople.com $ 750,000 (will be used for a portal) CasinoMagazine.com $ 2,500,000 (Online magazine) AmericanPoker.com $ 1,400,000 (Online magazine) LondonMagazine.com $ 600,000 (Future online magazine) No way in hell those numbers are anywhere near what prices were paid in the end. C'mon, 2 mil for 10top.com ? The name itself doesn't seem worth more that $100. (Hell, I wouldn't register it if it were available) What's your source for this horrendous information? |
I dont believe most of these figures. I have done research in the past about domains sold at insane prices and get what.....even after 2 years the domains are not developed, they dont even diplay anything.
20Great.com $1,500,000 lol |
I don't believe them either. I think they're con artists trying to drum up business. Top10.com for $2M I could believe...it would be unusual, and I'd say ovepriced, but sometimes people pay huge prices for mediocre domains. And it might even make sense depending on their plans for it. But 10top.com, that's not even mediocre.

Cluade Levi is the guy who owns thosedomains and he got his start by publishing lies on online gambling companies. www.gamblingmagazine.com is where he posted his bullshit and put a black eye when the industry was just starting to boom. |
I can tell noone here has been or is involve in the corporate world.
See in the porn business we know if we spend 1000 on something we need to make back 1000+ real soon not sometime in the future. In corporate they spend for all types of stuff that wont make sense to the avg person that thinks dollars and cents. All it takes is one air head in a board room to say "the domain dfiuhoiu.com is for sale I think it can be a big brand one day just like ebay" and bammm a check is being written for a crazy amount. How many 1 man operations created a neat software program and sold it to some corporate company for 10mil plus, TONS of them They could of just copies it and spent the rest on marketing but no thats not how everyone thinks |
this was back in 1999. the guy is a fucking cancer . to this day, he is still in hiding. he fucked with alot of people who you don't fuck with

taboo i hope your just printing the latest domain pr sent to yahoo news., if your doing promotion for him, then your days are numbered here:2 cents: |
i have few good typins like hardisc.com where is the best place to sell them online?
|
Cluade Levi owns all these names. this PR is bullshit and he's been trying to scam people for years.
www.gamblingmagazine.com any of the real players back in the day hanging out at www.ragingbull.com know what I'm talking about. people remember Starnet...right?> |
like I mentioned in the title;
from a Press release. not news source. so, I doubt the $. but it is true that BigBiz will spend insane amounts of money for domains to make sure that their competitors don't get them. in fact, i bank on it.... everyday. :) I'm about to flip a domain to a Corp that already owns the generic domain for their entire industry, but my name is more "marketable" in their eyes. lol. so i'm letting the market decide the price because I mailed proposals to 3 companies who all compete in the same marketspace. so even if the domain prices above seem improbable, they are not impossible. It is possible for them to sell CasinoMagazine.com for alot considering how many new mags/medias are launching to parasite off of the $100M+ launch of the CGTV (Casino & Gaming TV) network in less than a year. I subscribe to a few casino mags and every issue is full of casino ads and every casino advertises in each of the mags, and the market has room for more competition. it's just that the price for 10top.com makes me doubt the entire PR. |

2pac - It just seems like your trying to hard to pass yourself off as a knowledgable player. One post explaining who he is, cool, in fact - fascinating. Relevant/on-topic post relating to a thread? Great. But multiple posts emphasizing how YOUR friends were fucked. How YOUR friends have bounties on him. Blah blah motherfuckin' blah. |
I can't see any of those domains being worth even $1000
No one word ones. They all have atleat two words that arent even good for marketing anything in real demand |

if anyone cares, sedo is listing cursor.com as sold for $30k. which is worth a bit more than some of the domains above. :) |

BTW, is there an accepted scale of $$$ a domain is worth per type in per day? Just something to get a rough estimate of the value based on type ins only. |

Yo, stupid fuck. research before you talk shit. I've been in the Internet Gambling Industry since 1997. I had my own Corp. at age 25 in the state of New York. I started www.startcasino.com in 1998 with my former biz partner. I sold my half in 2000 then moved to the Carbbean for 2 years and worked at ione of the biggest sportsbooks online. I was inchage of looking for fraud and also marketing. I had my own place, company car, and I didn't have to pay for shit. ever been on Vacation in the Caribbean for a week, 2 weeks top? I was on a free trip to the Carbbean for 104 weeks. BTW, I just turned 30 years old you don''t know dick about me except what you read here at gfy. |

Quote:
of course it should have been posted. i'm glad I did or I wouldn't have heard about all the history/drama behind supernames.com - they've got some names I would consider buying, but it pays to see what others think/know. and pornstar2pac, if there really is a bounty of his head, why don't people just call him? all his info is here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2004/9/prweb154517.htm :) |
ZooMagazine.com is dropping today, if anyone cares.
