Out of interest, what is the best software for webcam (for quality and speed).

Say if it was for your own site, rather than using such as camcontacts.net.

also does webcam use bandwidth in the same way as downloading vid from your site?

depends if u want a streaming camera 30 frames per second or a refresh camera that refreshes say ever 2-3 seconds as a raw image..

well for streaming depends on how many you want to watch at the same time (full video and audio) because if its less than 20 at a time u can get like a deal through nakedhosting for their streaming package which would be cheaper than buying a server to do it ( if you do windows media stream ) i would avoid the real stream though.. had problems with it in the past and surfers all have windows media, not real player

I was just thinking of having a camera set up watching the steet or somthing.

Somone said that they use yahoo to bloadcast or somthing like that, not sure what he ment.

If you do webcam work propaly, I take it your looking at a dedicated server, which is what I was told you needed for net radio.

One thought was to be sible and just use somone such as camcontacts.net , but I am not sure of the quality of this.
