Kerry Responds...........

he's really digging into Bush...........and he's fighting back finally......

I want Bush to be defeated but I have to admit, as a political junkie, the RNC was far more effective than the Democratic Convention............far more emotional and effective at getting the Repub base excited to go out and vote

Kerry has to continue to fight back, especially at this swiftboat bullshit. We need a fighter and I hope to hell we've got one. After all, if Bush is re-elected, he'll be appointing new Supreme Court judges. If you thought COPA and 2257 are bad, you will be shitting your pants at what is to come with more neo-conservative SC justices.

Keep your eyes on the prize and your heads in the game and vote Democrat.

dready 09-02-2004 09:24 PM

Bush or Kerry will have identical policies whoever is elected.. don't fool yourself thinking it makes a difference who wins.

with all due respect, its you who is fooling himself............if you think Kerry would appoint the same SC Justices as Bush would, you are on glue.

Remember COPA? That was shot down by the SC a few months ago by only a 5-4 margin! Imagine if they upheld it? The ramifications to this industry?

We need a Liberal Democrat in there right now for OUR OWN PROTECTION. Don't you get it?

the Dems should've went after Bush just as hard..........they are only starting to now, thus they only had a temporary 4-5 pt bounce in the polls that has since evaporated..........its all about getting your votes out now........who gets their ppl motivated more to go out and vote will win and the Repubs capitalized on this by Kerry-bashing to fire up their electorate

watch for Kerry to turn up the rhethoric in response...........

now if the Repubs get anything past a 7 pt. bounce for their convention, and god forbid a 10 pt. bounce, the Dems are in for an uphill battle..........if its only 4-5 pts, the game is on.........

EscortBiz 09-02-2004 09:48 PM

thwe 7 days leading up to the election is what matters next week people will forget every fuckin speech just like they did a week after the dem convention

You made some very good points. And Dan Rather and other CBS reporters ALL were saying that Kerry was going to go into "attack mode" (from the info they had received) and that the next 60 days would probably be one of the nastiest campaigns ever.

LAJ 09-02-2004 09:50 PM

Regardless of whether you think it makes a difference or not who is in office... If Bush is re-selected, you can COUNT on there being a more conservative supreme court. Sure in the grand scheme of things thinking about the supreme court is pretty narrow, selfish even if only thinking about the good and welfare of the adult industry, but make no mistake... within due time there will be at least one more asshole Scalia type swaying those 5-4 votes in the other direction.

Thats my whole point. We have to think in terms of our self-interest and self-preservation in this industry. Study your history. Our industry has always been harrassed but less so, by far, by Dems than Repubs. Bush wields the bible recklessly and has his fucking lapdog, John Asshead, go after us with bogus 2257's or COPA's. To flourish and survive, we need at this time a Liberal leaning Democrat who actually respects the first amendment, even if it means protecting us, the so-called "pornographer scum". Some ppl on this board who don't get these simple facts are living in a dangerous fantasy world.

I disagree with you. The Democrats had just as good of a convention in terms of strategy. They were able to set the tone and to set boundaries that the Republicans look very bad for crossing, and as you see Bush will not cross them as you see with the 527 ads against Kerry, Bush wont touch them either way.

Another thing is 2 weeks from now nobody will even remember the speech Bush gave tonight or the speech AH'nold gave or the speech Zelly gave. And the same reason why people will forget is the same reason you believe the RNC was better than the DNC. People forget the moment and get caught up in the next.

Remember all of the hope the DNC inspired and the sudden rush of change filling the air and the feeling that we could take our country back. I still have that feeling, even watching the RNC I still have that feeling, it has not gone away. I am very hopeful and the DNC instilled that in me, and the RNC never even for a second took it away.

So to me, no the DNC was better than or equal to the RNC, not the other way around.

Plus the DNC was not greeted and interupted by mass amounts of protestors every 5 seconds. :)

why would Kerry make a great president? because he would consult with the UN before he did anything with regards to our national security?

Fuck him. He is not qualified . . . while I may not like Bush, Kerry is NOT the answer . . . not even close.

know what, I could care less about that. . . . and as far as Kerry going, fuck him. When he returned he testified that everyone over in Nam was a war criminal.

That, in of itself tells me he is not qualified to be Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces.

It is one thing to testify and/or protest his involvement, but to say everyone was a war criminal was unacceptable. Fuck him.

He didn't say everyone was a war criminal. He said this:

Winter soldier Investigation:

"I would like to talk, representing all those veterans, and say that several months ago in Detroit, we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command.

It is impossible to describe to you exactly what did happen in Detroit, the emotions in the room, the feelings of the men who were reliving their experiences in Vietnam, but they did. They relived the absolute horror of what this country, in a sense, made them do.

They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, tape wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.

We call this investigation the "Winter Soldier Investigation." The term "Winter Soldier" is a play on words of Thomas Paine in 1776 when he spoke of the Sunshine Patriot and summertime soldiers who deserted at Valley Forge because the going was rough.

We who have come here to Washington have come here because we feel we have to be winter soldiers now. We could come back to this country; we could be quiet; we could hold our silence; we could not tell what went on in Vietnam, but we feel because of what threatens this country, the fact that the crimes threaten it, no reds, and not redcoats but the crimes which we are committing that threaten it, that we have to speak out. "

wtf are you talking about? are you going to tell me that the republicans are the defenders of our industry? or that democrats are harder on us than republicans? hmmmmmmmmmm.......how many obscenity prosecutions for our industry under Clinton? who's obsessed with COPA? who's obsessed with 2257's, which are completely bogus and designed to crush us with paper?

who's obsessed with, and really you should take note of this last one especially as it will be influencing everyone in this industry if it happens, appointing neo-conservative judges to the Supreme Court?

Do you people really think this is true? Ofcause he would stand up and defend your country any way he could if someone threaten you.

But with things that really isnīt a threat........ let me see if I can find an example.........IRAQ..... then he would go to the UN and try to work something out there.
Donīt give any of that shit that he would run to the UN before doing anything if your country was in danger he would defend you with any means.

Michael O 09-03-2004 11:08 AM

The reason the UN said no was because they were smart enough to see thru all the BS that came out of Washington if you have had a legit case like in Desert Storm you would have a coalition backing you up.

Donīt know where Bush grew up but threathing state leaders and countries if they donīt do what he says they will be fucked donīt make a lot of friends in the real world

No Cheney wasn't too old to go to Nam. Yes he got 5 student deferments. No Kerry did not say everyone in Nam was a war criminal.
