We Escaped Just in time... We are ok

Hi Everyone. We've had a flood of icqs asking if we are ok (regarding hurricane frances). Thank you very much. We were able to make it out. We flew out yesterday and boy were we lucky. The airport was closed down early today and every single plane was flown off the island. It is a very scary situation.

My heart goes out to everyone still in the bahamas. This storm is going to hit them so bad and nobody in the world will ever know the damage and suffering they will go thru. Most of the people live far below poverty level and make an average $3 to $4 an hour (while cost of living is about 1.5 times that of the most expensive US City) and have no way to recover from a disaster like this. It's going to be a very sad state for the people that are left homeless by Frances. Good luck to everyone.

Hey Mike how did you hold up in Charly? Does it look like Frances is headed your way? I heard today the Hurricane is as big as Texas. That's insane.

They predicted last year that this would be
a record year for hurricanes.

They were right.

I was supposed to be in Miami this week house shopping. Is this a sign? I am staying in California, that hurricane is way to much for me.
