Whats the fastest way to encode video for DVD from mixed sources?
A friend of mine has a bunch of videos and clips from the web in .avi .wmv .mpg .asf etc and wants to re-encode them and put them on a DVD....
Anyone know what the fastest or best way to do this would be? - preferrably in some sort of batch mode? The OS for encoding doesn't matter to him he will install linux or windows for the task. |
best way would be to get jim from spazlabz.com to do it

Don't know about asf but video edit magic is cheap and works well with avi mpg and wmv.

Tough one. Some mainstream apps will reencode on the fly and take various formats, but I'd probably manually reencode the lot with tmpgenc (maybe even strip out the audio first with Virtualdub to guarantee synch)

tmpgenc won't encode wmv.
