If you're a democrat speaking at the democrat convention, and you raise your voice and put forth a powerful emotional speech, you're praised for days on end.

If you're a democrat speaking at the republican convention, and you raise your voice and put forth a powerful emotional speech, you're bashed by your peers, called things like "bitter", and "angry", and your fellow democrats completely disown you.

I think he was first to do the disowning. Didn't he trash Bush in 2000?
