TGP Owners - Would you List FHGs with 10 Pics?

according to this logic, a gallery with 10 pics would be enough to jerk off 50 times... after 50 times I doubt the surfer would still want to buy a membership :winkwink:

I list my own sponsors free hosted galleries. But submitters aren't allowed to post galleries with ? or & in the url. To many fucking cheaters.

If they submit a decent "self made" gallery with only 10 picts thats fine.

I personally wish sponsors would offer gallery designs with less content displayed, and focus more on the sale instead of providing free pictures/videos. Obviously this could have an adverse affect on your site if you've always offered galleries with 20 free pictures minimum, and so your bookmarkers and surfers are looking for that.

Personally, I do not see the logic behind minimal numbers of images allowed on tgp's -

Tgp's are making cash out of our galleries - We pay the bandwidth.
It is certain today, there is so much free porn on the net, surfers can get their fill for free.

If tgps are there for the surfer AND the sponser, then they should lower the minimum amount of pics to a sensible level - Min= 5 Max= 10.

Sell the dream - Not give it at the first bite.

I feel sure by lowering the number of images, both tgp's and submitters/sponsors would make more cash -

Also - Tgp's using cj scripts should be deemed non tgp's by auto submitters - They are cj sites, not tgp's.

I list pretty much anything aslong as I am the one making money from it.

my minimum is 12 pix, but no one submits 12...

i think so, but im in the minority.
i liked 10, but when most sites went to the 15 minimum, i compromised at 12.

it doesnt really matter, there are almost no galleries submitted with 12 thumbs, gallery makers go with the average, which is 15, 16 or more..

I don't really think that 5 pics more or less make more or less joins.If the user thinks: Damn that gallery is nice and exactly what I want the user will join, 5 pics more or less won't mostly matter.If you think it's giving away too much the paysite has much too less content and those who only look at gallery to get their dialy jerk off won't buy a membership anyway. :2 cents:

This is where auto submitters come in to play...

As you have a huge bank of partners, you could impress upon them that less is better - And help create a new trend...

However, why change a great tgp?

Content makes the sale.

The whole point of offering content to begin with is to show the surfer what the site offers. If the surfer likes the content enough to pay for it they will.

It doesn't matter how many pictures are on the gallery.. 5 or 20 makes no difference.

You have to stop thinking about single galleries and think like a surfer. If a surfer is intent on jacking off and only jacking off they're gonna be looking at more than one gallery regardless of how many pics are on them. That's the whole point of a TGP site.

It's only when a particular content set is magical enough to spark some sort of emotion in him that he's going to bust out his wallet for more. And I don't think too many surfers go looking just for the rest of a gallery. They'll be looking for the movie version, or for other galleries featuring the same girl.

We've been allowing 10 pics since day one. I usually ban anyone submitting more than 20. Most of the submitters that have been with us for 2+ years submit 12 or 10.

Some submitters are actually smart enough to have multiple templates so they submit the minimum requirement to each specific TGP or group of TGPs.

We don't take lazy submitters that take FHGs and then host them on their own server. First off it's probably illegal and secondly we can list them ourselves if we want.

A bit more relaxed when it comes to listing FHGs. But I agree with the statement that most of them focus on nice graphics instead of actually selling. Few FHGs are "good" at selling. Eventually this bubble will burst as well once people realize most are no better than filler for the TGP so they don't have to deal with cheating and stupid submitters.

I have always accepted a minimum of 5 pics and I think it is damn silly to go beyond 20. Otherwise the number of pics isn't really relevant.

So far it doesn't seem as if sponsors are generally any better than regular submitters at coming up with galleries that are really geared to selling. I suspect a large part of the problem is that in online porn people generally go straight to "designers", many of whom may have few marketing skills. Whenever I wanted promo materials in the past, I developed them with a marketing person. Often I wouldn't know who the graphic artist was.

Then when it comes to populating the templates with content, most people use whole photoshoots straight from the provider. Very few take the trouble to enhance the pictures, crop them, separate the ones which tease from the ones that deliver, etc.

None of which bothers the TGP's which make their money selling traffic, ad space, or gallery spots. The more explicit content they get to give away, the easier it is to keep their numbers up. But it's taking a long time for submitters and sponsors to learn that feeding the big TGP's is not necessarily in their own best interests.

In all honesty, there is really no need for more than 10 pics on a gallery, there never has been.
