It's like percocet -- Except instead of acetaminophen as one of the active ingredients, it has aspirin. I've never tried it, just know what it is. If it's 1/2 as good as percocet, then prepare yourself for a heroin-like relaxation. Good shit, three to five at a time. :thumbsup

why did you hate it? i'm only supposed to use it for my flight to MTL, and my flight back (over 6 hours each).

AVM - i have zero exprience with this sort of drug. what's it like lol?

Just like I said - everyone on GFY is becoming a pill popper!

If your a light to moderate sleeper you should be out most of the flight.

If you can handle codeine without getting nauseous, then Percodan should work well for you. If you can't take aspirin, then this is not the drug for you.

I find it a particularly nauseating drug and I believe there are better ones out there to deal with pain....

If you're using it for anxiety, then lorazepam (ativan) may work more efficiently.

asprin does not bother me, and actually works much better for me than acetaminphan [sic]. it's for pain (broken ankle), not anxiety...

codeine makes me feel a little weird, but not sick.

1 pill - Takes away the slight/moderate pain you have.

2 pills - Takes away the slight/moderate pain you have + relaxed feeling.

3 pills - Relaxation / Slight euphoria.

4 pills+ - Absolute and complete relaxation. Complete euphoria. The world is a Candyland, and watching paint dry suddenly becomes the greatest, most exciting event of your life. Rotating your neck/head/arm in any direction, now becomes a massive task/activity. Three hours of doing nothing has never been more pleasurable. :winkwink:

That is an excellent description... but would 4 or more not kill someone??? That sounds like alot... I take ONE and feel just like that, but then I rarely take anything for a headache, cold or any other ailment. :winkwink:

I've been taking percocet for years because of my migraines but for someone who's never taken it before, it will probably make you more woosy than most.

Be sure and take it on a full stomache and don't take more than one until you know what your reaction to one is. :thumbsup

I didnt know they prescribed pain killers for flights?? I thought valium or xanax or something among those sorts. If youve never taken percodan before..its in the opiate family. Make sure you have eaten something filling before..like breads,etc...The first time I ever took vicodin was when I was 17 for wisdom teeth being pulled..Two of those knocked me out..Nowadays they dont do much for me..but since your new dont take too many and drink plenty of fluids..Keep crackers or bread with you too. Good Luck. :)

PS: Dont get addicted! Withdrawl is a killer...opiates are very easy to get hooked on.

have a couple of beers on the plane with it you wont feel no pain :)

kill someone nah...when I was into the whole pill thing (thank god Im not anymore) I was taking anywhere from 10-15 a day...its easy to get addicted and then once your tolerance builds up you have to take more and more to get to that level of euphoria..your body becomes greedy. :(

Well, I certainly hope you feel better. I had read about your broken ankle and that surely sucks.

Percodan always made me feel weird behind my eyes, almost dizzying.

I use a combination of ibuprofen and aspirin for pain.

If your break is a 'simple' one, the pain should begin to subside within a few days, if you're casted.

If not, call your doc.

It's heavy-duty stuff. My grandpa took it when he was dying from cancer and he was spacing out half the time, high as a kite. When you quit, taper off.
