How come so many sponsors are fucking clueless about providing a properly formatted list of hosted galleries? How fucking hard can it be to generate a separate LIST for movie and pic galleries, in a simple text format with one URL per line? No, I don't have the fucking time to click on each gallery to see whether it's a movie or a pic gallery, neither do I have the time to copy and paste each URL individually into a text file. You know who you are, I'm not gonna post your names here. If you don't know how you should format your gallery lists, take a look at Reality Cash, props to adult.com for making gallery imports a breeze!

One more thing, and this goes for adult.com/Reality Cash as well. There are LOTS of TGP/MGP owners running Comus Thumbs. If you create import lists, please try creating a format that can easily be imported into Comus Thumbs. You'll get more exposure that way. :thumbsup

What format does comus use? I only know the AGS format... Not that we have lists, just out of curiosity

I second that, some sponsors seem to think that webmasters love to copy one URL at a time for some reason.
Its just fucking retarded.

Last time I looked, I had to click several times and copy&paste each gallery URL individually, one of the reasons I shitcanned MediumPimpin to begin with. However, it's been a while since I last looked, so there is a chance that you could've improved things.

It uses a comma-delimited format like this: URL, Category, Description and it creates categories straight from the import list, even if they weren't previously created.

we've had cut & paste lists from day 1.

these days we also let our webmasters customize the way the cut & paste list should be written.

hit the radio button "url list" to get the simple cut & paste list.
hit the radio button "custom whatever" to make your own cut & paste list format.
(yah you might need to search for a few secs to find the buttons, the gallery tool hasn't been skinned yet so it's a little messy.)

but on a side note.. not saying you are wrong to bitch but take us for example if there is something you want like a list of galleries and its not offrend why not just talk to the sponsor.. i mean if you did that with us initaly we could have made you up the list or taken the suggestion and added in that feature!

except for Medium Pimpin I don't know all that many programs that offers this.. I remember seeing a similar function at juicycash.com so ya might wanna check that out :)

I'm not bitching about you specifically. However, it's not MY responsibility to make sure YOUR gallery lists are easily imported into your affiliates' scripts. For me, it's easier to move on to a different sponsor than to go through the trouble of trying to get in touch with a sponsor that might not even honour my request. It's YOUR responsibility to find out what your affiliates need, in order to make YOU money. If not, they simply move on, as I did.

THIS is what I'm talking about. How fucking hard can it be for a sponsor to put up a simple tool like this? Props man! :winkwink:

EITHER WAY... our gallery tools rock and as you have just seen Natkejs can pull anything out of his ass if you need it... so try it out again if you please. and if you need something specific for yourself let us know cause we can do it!

Just checked this out, from the links Natkejs posted, no sorting by movie/pic galleries. So I decided to log into the webmaster area so that I could see if you maybe have this separation for other sites. Well, I guess I won't be promoting MediumPimpin after all, since my login isn't working. :(

Actually, our movie sites has hosted movie galleries ... our mainstream sites has hosted picture galleries.

So there is no need for sorting, I mean, there is nothing to sort .... right now anyways :)

As for the login, use your old "Affiliate Number" (6 digits) as username and your old password as usual.

I also hate it when sponser's mix in the same gallery just a different template all in the same list.

The movie sites don't run the same script tho, they have an older version of it.

You will still find the cut & paste list but it can't be customized.

yeah, some sponsors provide gallery links in a way that stops me from promoting them. However if you contact them, most are helpfull and send a list. From what I've seen Stupid Cash has one of the best import lists. I can't remember the other sponsors though

I do mine not getting credit on exits off MY traffic. Esp when it's a sponsor I promote. I would perfer no exits.

It's bc. a lot of programers or marketing people are not owners of any sites. Thus, they don't realize nobody wants to click 100 times to get link codes or import galleries.

I went into two big programs wm areas last night to see what they are doing as far as marketing and noticed major flaws in how they present their link codes. It's amazing how bad some wm areas are.

While you are at it make hotlinkable thumb gallys in customizable table templates that rotate the thumbs everyday. heh

What kills me is when a sponsor offers galleries with descriptions in a text file, but somehow neglects to sort and organize the galleries by putting them in different categories.

With that the sites begin to loook more and more alike. Same galleries, same descriptions etc. Thousnds and thousands of the same thing.

Yep... I hate creating macros... and sometimes it isn't possible...

...and I definately agree on separate movie and pic listings... i keeps them separated on my tgps and hate going through every fucking gallery...

TotemCash has over 1000 hosted galleries and we're working ona tool to enable you guys to format the lists any way you want, including number of thumbs, short or long desk etc etc.
