since everyone seems to love the Ford GT...

i put up a link to a high quality Top Gear review. right click and save (it's over 100 MB). not sure how long i'll keep it up, so don't bother if you're not on high speed.

link

definitely not something i'd ever purchase.

anyway, cheers :glugglug

it was cool in the 60's, now its just a rehashed retro, about as cool as the new thunderbird. Although it does have killer performance, I dont go for the retro racecar look.

Ar3s 09-02-2004 03:01 AM

thanks.
please leave it up for at least 35min ;) thanks.

Jakke PNG 09-02-2004 03:02 AM

I would rather get the new cobra (if it's in production). But if I was to buy a sports car I'd get F575 or F550 convertible.

But for now, I'm happy with my 1.2 liter clio.:1orglaugh

ps. promote porngreen so I can buy a nice car.

i'll leave it up for a couple of hours. not on my load balanced servers, so download will probably not be terribly fast :)

no way... the new new GT is a lot cooler than the Tbird.

they've effectively turned the Tbird into a chick car. it's even more of a chick car than a miata.

and TGF, the cobra models are supposedly going into production late next year.

take a guess at the gas milage in this car - 4 miles PER gallon when driven hard. insane.

Just watched it. I was really surprised to hear such a good review from that guy. He's usually a bit slanted against US cars.

One thing about the 'door with a roof'. The original GT40 was built specifically to win the 24 hours at LeMans where there are frequent driver changes. This is why they created the large opening so a driver could easily hop in and out, provided of course the door can be opened all the way.

The second year the car entered LeMans (forget what year - '65 or '66 I think) it not only beat the Ferraris but it finished 1, 2, 3 :thumbsup

Just in case you want to save bandwidth, or for when you take down the link, here's another place this movie can be downloaded (I'm pretty sure its the same review):

Direct Link - Ford GT

Link to lots more Top Gear Reviews

yeah, the guy actually bought one! would be extremely difficult to open the doors though, like they demonstrated. 4 mpg, lol :)

Za Ha 09-02-2004 04:46 AM

Thnx man.
15mins to go (100kb/sec)

I think the car has its appeal but I guess to eachs own... I would never get one.
