Just got through watching The Beating Of The Christ
 

Decent flick....graphic yes...but not as graphic as others made it to be.

I forgot to check the credits..but the dude that played Satan looked like the same dude that played in the movie Powder..

I'm planning to watch it tonight if my kids will ever go to sleep. :Graucho

Dammit, I knew there was a reason he looked so familiar.

It was the eyes..I couldn't figure it out at first and it bugged me for like the first 10 minutes of the film...and then bam it hit me...gonna see if I can find his name in the credits.

I saw that at the movies and it was not too bad.

The special effects for that were pretty damn good. The makeup and the beating scenes I mean.

I think someone told me that in the making of the movie they talk about the guy doing the cross scene, and the cross being struck by lightening while he was up there.


When I get the chance to rent it, that is what I will be looking for.

Satan was evil as hell. I didnt think it was as graphic either as I thought it would be or maybe were just warped.

Yeah pretty impressive make up job...overall the production value was very high...it's a good movie nothing wrong with it other than it being a slanted view at religion..but what isn't slanted...just about every movie that comes out has someone's politics etc in it whether it's the producers, the directors or the screenwriter.

The main user comment on the IMDB is pretty funny.

"As a film it is average at best. As a religious story it is as spiritually and emotionally fulfilling as pornography."
