Ordering Stuff Online: I want Instant Satisfaction
In the past week I've ordered 2 books, one that I've kept my eyes on for awhile and finally plopped down the $200 for, and another that Alien showed me at Amazon...anyway...I now have to wait for them to arrive and it's like waiting for Christmas...taking fucking forever..or so it seems.
I'm so used to instant downloads of content, software etc...that I guess I have become a very impatient man...it's almost as bad as waiting for a new domain to propogate. |
Shit, I ordered 8 books for the wife last year at Christmas from Amazon and they arrived in 3 days.
I was so impressed I ordered 4 more. |

One book won't even be shipping for 2 weeks :( The other arrives Friday..but still it seems like it's just a few days before Christmas back when I was a kid...these days are so long and drawn out. |
What book cost you $200 ?
Never paid more than $120 for a book. |

I spent waaaaayyyyy too much money on computer books and art books last year. I wish I'd kept the receipts, that would have been a pretty hefty tax writeoff. Those damn things cost so much that I spend like $600 in one week on them last year. :helpme

Books are getting closer and closer to being instant download.
But then you have yo sit longer in fron of your pc to read them. So I think that even when they are that way, I will still but the hard copy of them. |

Though maybe it has the illumination or very exclusive content or something like that... |
Kozmo.com was the closest you could get to instant satisfaction.
30 minutes or less. In NYC there was nothing better. Too bad they blew their chance. |
