other than that service and support is top notch and they know what theya re doing....

We see it as a good thing for all.

If most of the sites in Florida went down, it would have a big impact on alot of business aspects.

Income on affiliate programs would decrease, singups would decrease and etc....
Basically less traffic coming from that state would lower everyones income on a large scale.

Why not help to prevent it?

If you host in Florida, its a good idea to take up this insurance.....

I have repeatedly said that you couldn't pay me to host in Florida - for so many many many reasons - legal, weather, BellSouth, FPL, etc.

Not just yet, but the next day or two will start to tear up FL they think.
They also have stated that it will become a category 5 hurricane before it hits FL (again, speculation)

Well, not many people responded when I made the offer initally, however
today we began to receive ALOT of calls....

"My web host is dead, I need help"

Lot's of calls like that coming in right now.

Were stepping up and helping of course, so far we have saved a handfull of sites
but the main problem is how long people waited to do this....

Alot of people who have sites down because of this have NO DATA TO UPLOAD to our servers because they did not have local copies of their own web sites....
