if you think about it churches are nothing but big multi level marketing programs. why do you think they tell their patrons to spread the word of god, its good business. It doesnt suprise me that the DVD sold that many copies at all.

I was in Walmart around 7AM and they had two big displays right up front. The first one was DVDs and VHSs and the other was more tapes/DVDs on the bottom and related merchandise on top (a table book, etc.). The VHS was only available in full-screen but the DVD was available in both wide-screen and full-screen versions.

the funny thing about this movie is that Mel Gibson has made so much money he could set a nun on fire and no one would care, but if this movie had bombed, he'd be deported....

No, I didn't cry nor did my super religious great-aunt I took to see it. It's a very powerful dramatization if you know the story and I can see how it could be tear-inducing if you've never heard it.
