1-0 after first... Canada is all over americans. Theyre hitting hard, theyre skating, and americans is all silence. Guerin tried to respond with a hard hit against Gagne near boards, but got caught with a charging call.
Esche keeps Americans close right now, hes their main guy in the powerplay and hes perfect 5 on 5. Personally I like this Canada team very much, they are playing like winners...

Wow, nice 2nd period! I loved that brawl at the end, gloves were flying all over the place, Niedermayer went head to head with Halpern and stood pretty good, as i thought Halpern looks kinda tougher than Scott...
It turned out that Americans arent as dead as you might think about them. They did a great job of getting under the skin of Canada players and was able to regain momentum after that minor brawl in the beginning of the period, involving Guerin, Niedermayer and some other people. They got powerplay and shortly after it was over they scored... I thought the game pretty much was under control of US team till the end of the second.

I'm glad the USA is starting to play their A game.. I'd rather watch an exciting game that Canada might lose then some snorefest blowout. :thumbsup
