Now I'm fucking scared shitless

Charley gusted to 105 here in Orlando. It took a long path from the coast to here so that helped a lot as it died down. Charley had 130 MPH winds 35 miles from it's center. This one has 140 mph winds 85 miles from it's center so it's about 3 times larger. And it's projected path is much shorter to get to Orlando. The county is working overtime getting all the tree debris picked up, but I doubt they will have it all picked up in time. All this debris is potential missles. It is everywhere. Everyone cut up trees and just put all the debris on the sides of the roads.

Choker. It looks like the next one heading towards
Flordia will be a strong Catagory 4 or 5 Hurricane.
Sometime comparable to Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
Hope for the best for ya bro.

KRL 08-31-2004 12:25 PM

I'm going to check the latest maps online now.

Brinner 08-31-2004 01:36 PM

Choker & KRL, hit me up on ICQ. I've got a friend that works for the National Weather Service in Miami and I can give you guys some good info. For weather on the web check out

www.wunderground.com

and click on Tropics.

Project-Shadow 08-31-2004 01:37 PM

That really sucks, sorry to hear that.
When's it likely to hit?

xanx 08-31-2004 01:38 PM

man choker you live right down the road from me and I never knoew it.

inabon 08-31-2004 01:43 PM

well chocker it francess looks like andrew back when it hit. but i am not sure if jetstream is going to keep it from going up. i must suggest you start preping hard for this one. i have been through a couple of hurricanes (hugo in P.R., Andrew in miami, Georges in P.R.) and i must say this one looks strong. i suggest you tie down your roof with tension cable and get good shutters and get rid of any patio stuff that you cant tie down.

best wishes from me i hope it doesnt touch you.

seeric 08-31-2004 01:44 PM

we're with you choker. you're a good guy.

I'm trying to pretend like it's not really there.

Steve 08-31-2004 02:40 PM

I think it is time for a road trip, dude

Theodor S. Geisel 08-31-2004 02:43 PM

And my wife says she wants to move to Florida, right on the coast. I told her to go ahead, I'm staying inland.

Slick 08-31-2004 02:46 PM

I'm glad that I live where I do waaaaaay up here in Michigan. Where I live, there's no tornados, no hurricanes, and no earthquakes, HOWEVER, we do have to put up with a lot of snow in the winter :(

Good luck with making it through another one Choker !

Dagwolf 08-31-2004 02:50 PM

Don't worry, it's all for the best. G.W. Bush will use the disaster to make himself look like a hero and boost his popularity ratings.

Not that any other politician wouldn't do the same...

jwerd 08-31-2004 02:51 PM

whoa and i was considering relocating there...

Choker 09-01-2004 11:28 AM

Getting new tires put on the Durango now. Packing up shit to take with me. Looks like the best bet is to head north to I10, park there and listen to the radio. Depending on it's course I can go east or west on I10. But how many others are planning to do the same? LOL

pxxx 09-01-2004 11:34 AM

That sucks man, good luck with your plan.

Choker: Did you get the damage from last hit reparied yet or no?

C_U_Next_Tuesday 09-01-2004 11:35 AM

All this crazy hurricane weather is just making my daughter make up her mind to go to college out west with us...right on!

I wish all you floridians the best of luck.. I am glad I moved out of that shithole of a state years ago..whew.
