Is there a "best" AVS?

I am thinking of making an AVS site, but is there really one system the best? Each of them have their advantages, but what are things that are really important?

Hard to say because each has their advantages especially if you're looking for something in particular as an affiliate.

I know what an AVS is, and I believe AEN means Adult Entertainment Network, but if I am correct, how is this different from a AVS?

There's no such thing. Submit your sites to all of them. Just use different titles, and change it around a little.

Yes you run the site but the site must be hosted on the AEN's servers.

Are CyberAge and ProAdult AVS old style?

They are old-style but Cyberage is apparently owned by a bank (clearcard.com) and ProAdult uses Verotel.com for biling (I believe Verotel is based in Holland).

Agreed to the last sentence, although I have been reading that most of the pure AVS providers are suffering from stupid Visa regulations. But according to your post, these two will be avoiding this because they use other than regular creditcard processors?

But what is better, using AVS software or making the sites myself using HTML/CMS? I will mostly be doing movie and text sites.

Haha, good to know, but I actually meant if they are still the same as they were before the AEN wave?

We all had to make some changes to the wording on our sites when the changes happened and put new scripts on but they made that fairly painless. Other than that they are more or less the same from what I have been able to tell.
