I think it's ridiculous that the French havent brought up the point that if the hostage takers want muslims to be able to openly demonstrate thier religious practices in France, then all other religions should be freely practiced throughout the muslim world.

yeah they enforce crazy rules on people living over there...a friend of mine grew up in the UAE..her dad is an engineer for some oil company...anyway one of her friends got caught with some weed over there..and even though is family was fairly rich and his father held a high postion in a company employing many people....it took almost two years to get him out of jail.
