Why do they keep telling us islam is a religion of peace?

Nope, the Romans, unless you believe Mel Gibson. Anything can be corrupted to turn love into hate, just that the Koran actually says to KILL INFIDELS( meaning anyone not believing the same thing they do), so much for peace and tolerance

Religion is powerful political stuff.

so I guess every other religion is a religion of peace, huh? But, wait what religion was the Unabomber? Soemone claiming to be a member of a religion and than commiting heinous acts shouldnt speak for that religion. I have 3 Muslim friends and I have never seen them burning US flags are protesting Bush

dammit, I really wish I didn't just watch that video.. thats probably the WORST ever I have seen, it had not one person killed, but 12, ARGH... it makes me sick, I really do feel sick now and will need to go lay down and relax..

and I really don't want to get started on religion, but religion seems to be a vehicle of destruction and peace, its who CONTROLS the people following the religion...

If anyone has any time to read on some scientific explanations of beliefs, start reading about memetics and thought contagions... its how belief spreads through society... very interesting stuff.

Religion is dangerous no matter if you are Christian, Muslim or something else there will always be fundamentalist that will do anything in the name of religion. Just look at Iraq or the anti abortion people killing doctors.
