Design Clients - Would you go for this?

A remote view of someone you've hired to design so you can watch them work on your project and comment as they go?

True, but you know how it goes. You work for x hours on a preview design and then they want it changed. Just an idea I had that could cut down on the need to redesign everything 20 times with clients who have trouble putting into words what they're looking for.

envisionext has a solution for that

any client who has the time to do this is clearly not worth dealing with.

people hire designers for what they do.... if you have to watch over your designer, find someone new.

you should be able to hand your project to your designer, give them input, project outline and check back for progress.

Very true :) Just thought it would be a neat feature that could be offered.

No agenda here at all Fletch, just brainstorming.

Outsourcing compagnies do that ...

I just don't see how the designer could design thought cauz the client will most likely complain all the time about little things without they get fixed

How often do you consult with your customers? I had a few cases like this, and then started sending them status every couple of days on where we were. Less surprises for all involved, and happier customers.

just use netmeeting or gotomypc.com invite and have the client follow your work.

It';s pretty cool for virtual meetings where one person is leading.

I offer regular updates and offer the client the opportunity to preview what is happening at anytime.

Generally though I tell them how long before I will have something, and listen to their needs so I get it as close to right the first time to lessen the changes. Yes clients can be finicky, but that is part of doing business.
