gone the way of the 8-track tape??

It seems these days, that's it's all about the niche / micro niche sites, and no longer the true all encompassing Mega site.

Have they gone the way of the dinosaur???

Thoughts?

Most surfers are looking for something in particular to forfill their needs . megasites have a lil bit of everything ... but most of them only like one or two niche

The larger niche based sites. Thats where everything is going in my opinion. Mega sites would not be that bad if it was more than teen and more teen.

Microniche sites are starting to rule the land BUT if you can offer a group of microniche sites in an all encompassing network, you've found the mystery to retention. Plugins also keep the microniche surfer happy if the content isn't too spread apart. :2 cents:
