yet another Professional Coding Company needed

ok i need a "company" not 1 person (well if you're just that damn good then ok) to clone a site script and tailor it to my idea/site.

I need someone or a company that is 'reliable', knows php and can pretty much create anything,
- has a working computer (don't want a hear any excuses)
- all family members in good health (heard the death in family excuse one two many times)
- willing to work 7 days a week to complete a project
- stays in constant communication
- completes projects by the projected deadlines
- keeps a stay update schedule
- agree to sign over all rights to the script.
I would like the script created within 30-45days (ending weekend work)

brief project background: clone of a community site script, mysql skills, php, rating script coding, image display, member section, cookies, etc.

I would prefer a company, but an honest hard working independant coder. If you can't do the project don't say you can. :winkwink:

Yep, outsourcing would be the only way to go. You're fucking insane if any good programmer not living with mommy is gonna want to tie themselves up to you for 30-45 days straight.

You are asking for too much :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I have a coder I've been using for our latest project at TripleX. He runs the company and has a team of programmers. Plus he is online 24/7 and is always easy to contact.

ICQ me if you want his details.

do u have $3000?

goBigtime 08-30-2004 05:32 PM

You could try here maybe... ?

and build off of something like that if you are planning to develop your own site.

If you plan to resell the software, then better to have one of the guys above code it all from scratch.

Up until last Thursday our kids were all in good health. Then, on Friday, they started vomiting. It was really bizarre. Long story short, that destroyed my night.

Work 9am to 7pm? Yeah, I'm up for that. Most real jobs have you work 8 hours, but you want a 10 hour chunk out of a programmer's day? Does any one stop for a minute to think that anyone else may not be on the same damn schedule as everyone else? I get up around noon, and get to bed around 5am.
What about asking for an 8 hour response time, with a guaranteed immediate response time with a smaller window? That seems reasonable.

On top of that, you want weekend work?

Okay, let's say I'm not outsourcing.

The amount that you would have to pay me would probably be more than you're willing to pay, especially since I could no longer benefit from any of the code that I write. I lose all rights to my shit. Well, let's put my library aside.

Hard work pays off in the end? Who are you trying to sell this to? Mommy's little baby can hide something for only so long if you take all of his time away.

Like I said, you need a team of Russians working for $2 per hour 12 hours per day. I hear you can get quite a few of those for $1200.

I wouldn't touch my keyboard for a lengthy project if I was offered $1200 for it. But that's just me, and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I think my friends from OldCodes.com can help find you right result in your good-result search

I would have taken it back when I had time to freelance, with two thoughts in mind though:

1) Based on the short description, it shouldn't need to take that long....lots of coders are just SLOW.

2) The price needs to be right :Graucho

One tip: If you do take an individual, pay per project or per milestone. They are likely to find 'bugs' they just can't seem to get if you pay them hourly :1orglaugh

I never had bugs. I've always had "Interfering Features".

are you REALLY going to pay the $80-120 an hour that a good programmer would/should ask?

nastyking 08-30-2004 06:05 PM

I would refrain from using PHP for such a long term project.

Why don't you leave any contact informations in your post?

lets just say if i knew who MTV.com or other top companies used to create scripts outside if there company i'd go with that firm. just so i'll know my project would be completed and not sold a month later on a script site. i want reliablity, met deadlines, professionalism straight through. working with people that take what they do seriously can go along way, return business =)

i've contacted a few people who have posted i can be contacted at pvanderh @ bellsouth .net
