there are some variables, including the country that manufactured the goods. it would be at least 7%, plus a brokerage fee.....depends on the courier that you are using.

can you mail bondage toys to canada?

sextoyking 08-30-2004 03:09 PM

We have never had any problems shipping sextoy orders to Canada. In the old days movies could be a problem once in a while if the Canada Movie Auth. or whatever it's called didn't approve.

Toys, We ship all Fedex, and usually the customer does have to pay some tax, I think GST.

Thanks for the insight. What kind of goods do you declare the toys as? I'm thinking exercise machine.

I ordered a sybian a couple of weeks ago and it came across fine.

Declared as exercise equipment.

Had to pay GST.

Piss off was the brokerage charged by UPS, about $60.

Best is to send by mail, if you can go to a convenient customs office to pick it up, and don't mind opening it.

Thanks Paul. I hope my customer gets into fine shape with his "exercise machine!"

I refuse to accept commercial shipments that come UPS. They make it very easy for the us business, but the Canadian purchaser gets nailed for their 'services'.

Sugarlips- Please make sure that I have the tracking number so I can be sure to be home to sign for it

btw- you might talk to bms about wholesaling it. They supply most of the sex shops in Ontario.

If shipped by FedEx etc. the customer gets charged not only the GST but also the brokerage fees which can add up.

Being a shop-o-holic I have had a ton of things shipped to me from the U.S. I request they send it via USPS because Canada Post will rarely charge you duty or fees of any kind as long as the amount declared is not too high. I would suggest you declare it a "toy". Chances are Canada Post would think it is a child toy and just let it through.

blame canadaaaaa

um- have you seen the 'toy' in question?

the only children's toy it might be confused with is a jungle gym

what are the approx dimensions of the shipping box and the weight?

davethetruth 08-31-2004 10:06 AM

We ship Air Mail to Canada which is a little bit more expensive then regular priority mail. For a love machine the shipping wouldn't be much more then $20 even though it is a very heavy item. The only extra charge is the customs charge you have to pay when you go to pick the package up. We list our products as "Novelties" on the customs slip.
