Too bad, I was using RealityCash, achieved 2 signups at a whopping 1:305 conversion (with quality AdWords traffic, how's that for a profit ;)). No I only need one more to get my check and cover my losses (made a small profit with other sponsors). Not to disgrace RealityCash, maybe it was my own targeting (although it seemed to work before :(), but how can I achieve this last signup before I reach the limit to send the check. No more AdWords for me, was doing a dedicated campaign and made 1 sale at the cost of the commission, so no real profit there.

Anyone care to share a tip?

P.s. Made a total of about $300 in commission this month, at a cost of about $260, but after checking fees there's not much left :( I must be doing something wrong here...:(

I hate to say it, but it is all trial and error with adwords.

You can either abandon the idea, or keep trying. Are long as there is an ROI, you may want to keep going.

I have found adwords pretty profitable - when targetting niche and being very carefull about choosing the words I want my ad to show in - It is very easy to lose a lot of cash if you do not research first.

I did found out in my "journey" that giving away too much for free won't work (everyone got to find this out someday right ;)). Listing lots of sites, linking to even more free movie galleries wasn't such a good idea. Nor buying Enhance traffic, which was a total wast of money (really, even on a ad screaming free, a webpage screaming free and sponsors screaming free, I only got 2 email signups at $0.75 each with hundreds of visitors, gathered by spending tens of dollars. How that for crappy traffic lol!)

I am learning this the hard way, hoping there will be a softer way around. I just don't seem to get in the mind of surfers (we as webmasters can get it all for free, I think that effects my point of view). Anyone suggestions on this one?

I hate the fact BTW that most sponsors lack cookies. It's really a one-shot try, while in mainstream you can have cookies for ages. I think this really affects my ratios as well....

Tip, don't send targeted SE traffic to freesites, especially not PPC traffic. If they're keying in search terms, they will pay.

By the way, I was thinking that it should be easier to sell a paid trial than a free trial, simply because of the fact that in both cases a creditcard is required, but with a paid trial this seems logical since you actually need to pay something.

I'm not sure about that. It seems like people are not as affraid to use there credit cards for free shit on the net anymore. They're learning that they've just got to remember to cancel.

Is it allowed by sponsors to say that the card is only used for age-verification (yeah right ;))?
