Hosting customer up for grabs...

They need to colocate a box with 5mbits of bw.
32 ips

the box will be used soley for double optin mailings

They have full, verifiable opt in information including the date the customer opted in/joined the site, the IP address used, etc. And in some cases have full info including name and address.

Hit me up if you can take this lead...

AC works for Reflected .. we don't want anything to do with mail..

but this is NOT spam.. I saw the guy's lists... they are legit double opt in... he is whitelisted with AOL w/a complaint feedback loop set up and everything..

Customer is sort of a friend of mine so a referral would be appreciated... his lists are:

1. double opt in with full info -- some customers filled in the info questionnaire including birth date, sexual orientation, etc. and some didn't but all have date joined and IP information

2. paysite members to his sites -- in these cases he has full info including address, etc.

3. Can spam compliant -- working opt out link -- opt out footer includes date joined, IP they used to join, etc.

It's not much bandwidth and since it's legit he's not going to pay spam box prices.. p.s. AC said colo but it's not colo.. he wants to lease a 5mbit dedicated box..

We can help them out with a 5mbit dedicated box. Have them contact us through either live chat on our website, by phone, or by my aim/icq.

As long as there is full verified double opt-in info, there should be no problem.

Even legit stuff I tend to shy away from. My first question would be: why are you leaving your current host?

SpeakEasy 08-30-2004 03:33 PM

It doesn't matter if your mail is single, double opt in or the popes personnal email, if some idiot reports it as spam to any of the idiot anti's like spamhaus, spews, spamcop etc.... then you will be listed on their spam lists period. In most cases it is also impossible to be removed off the Idiot lists once listed. It's a fact unfortunately. Just re3ad donnie gangsters post above....If it wasn't going to cause trouble then they would be hosting it:)

Just heard about you via some mail buddies, I know a few people that have tried to IM you but your name S2K hasn't worked or is buddylist only, I gotta talk to brand0n to get ur new name. I'll hit you up via AIM unless I can't get through to you.

SplitInfinity 09-04-2004 07:25 PM

A C is cool.

:-)

He's with reflected though, not us. Thanks for the lead.
